Cesta has a great data visualization and Statisticians team. We have utilized publically available data from 1928 to 2022 data to showcase our expertise in different Analytical tools, namely SAS, R & Tableau.

The United States has grappled with a troubling phenomenon that has shaken its society to its core - mass shootings. These tragic events have left countless lives shattered and communities devastated.

Mass shootings are incidents in which four or more people are shot, excluding the shooter. These incidents can occur anywhere - schools, workplaces, movie theaters, places of worship, and even outdoor festivals.

While discussions surrounding mass shootings often bring up complex debates about gun control, mental health, and societal factors, it's essential to understand its magnitude of incidence and trends. Through this blog, we are trying to show state wise frequency of mass shootings, deaths, and injured cases.

The below map chart generated from Tableau shows the state-wise total number of mass shooting cases. California, Illinois, and Texas are the states with the high number of cases.
